Rain

I really love getting wet. Dad has been taking me to the sports ground every morning and I can splash and skid through all the puddles. So good fun. Mum isn't too impressed and covers me with a towel as soon as I get indoors. Towels on the sofas too! I'm not sure where rain comes from though as it wasn't around last week.

That Christmas thing has turned up again and Mum has been sticking shiny things everywhere. Something called 'post' turns up too and we have lots of cards from people I don't know. Mum likes them though and says 'how lovely' everytime she gets one. I'm not sure that she's the full shilling.

Dad came up trumps this year. Last year I named and shamed him with the tiny Quality Street tin so he moved up a gear this year and got a medium sized one......by the time I'm ten we'll have the bumper edition!

Look at Me!

John messed around with my photo and made me look like Christmas.

Thanks, mate, I really like it and Happy Xmas to you and Joe xx

Heck!

That time of year again. Mum and Dad took me to see the vet today as it was time for me to have my injections.

I was well brave. She checked everything out, my ears, teeth, eyes, temperature, my lady bits and then told us that I was really healthy. She promised me that I would get a treat if I was a good girl for my jabs so I sat down, suffered it and got three doggie chew sticks for my pains.

I weighed in at just over ten kilos, had loads of cuddles from both vets, loved every minute and can't wait for next year!

Auntie Shona

She's coming to stay again and arrives on Friday. I've been helping Mum to get her room ready and it's looking quite nice.

I've been looking everywhere for my red toy and there it was under the bed. Naughty Auntie Shona must have hidden it! I can't be cross because I'm so excited!

Thursday 19 November 2009

New Sofas

The Oldies went out and bought two new sofas last week. All well and good but they didn't think about me! I can't get underneath! Where do I hide when I'm in bother? Where do I shelter when I'm hot and bothered? I'm not happy and want the old one back! Dad was a bit stupid too as he's going to have to paint the walls now because they don't 'go' with yellow!

Wow

Our computer came home and it's well cool!

Facebook

It's so good to have Mum home from England. I really miss my computer time with her. Here we are checking out Facebook before she clears off to let me do my blog.

Liz and Lindsay are here and I'm hoping to see them soon as they give me olives. Auntie Shona turns up in around three weeks. Life is well cool!!

How Naughty!

It's so much cooler here now and I've been well lively today. Mum says that I'm a bit like Charlotte who also comes alive when it's windy. My birthday bunny got ripped to bits. Sorry Auntie Maz x

Thursday 1 October 2009

Hello Everyone..............

Just a note to say hi really as I haven't done anything different for ages and have nothing much to say.

My plaster scratching continues and Mum has come up with a new technique, found on the internet I expect. I just get ignored.......no shouting, no smacks, no 'good girl' biscuits..........just ignored. It does hurt a little but I refuse to be beaten and carry on regardless.

Time for bed, night night xxx

Play Time

Mum and I have been having such fun out on the balcony this evening. We've had cuddles and chased my rabbits. Dad says that if the weather is still cool tomorrow I can go out with them. My paws are crossed!

Monday 14 September 2009

A Slight Problem

It has been weeks and weeks since I succumbed to plaster scratching and Mum and Dad were talking about repairing the walls and having a repaint.

Something evil came over me this afternoon whilst they were saying bye to Ebony and Reece and I scratched and scratched. Under the sofa and no good girl biscuits.

I feel so guilty now as Mum looked well disappointed when she came home. I think that I might need counselling...........

Tuesday 8 September 2009

Not Cool

Mum has been interfering again and has deleted my posts. How on earth did she know my password?

Monday 31 August 2009

Lexi

This is my friend, Lexi. She was a stray and her Mum and Dad rescued her from the streets. Unfortunately, I haven't seen her for a while as I'm still not allowed out in the afternoon. Thanks to my Mum for taking the photo x

Little Miss Dozy

Dad taught me a new word today...........lethargic. I haven't quite got it together and I just feel like sleeping. Someone mentioned bed and off I go...................

Friday 14 August 2009

Fireworks

Mum says that we are having fireworks later tonight.

I hate them and they make me bark. Lets hope it doesn't last too long!

Sunday 9 August 2009

Good News!

Guess what? Auntie Shona is coming back again. Mum had an email the other day to say that she'll be here in December. Dad says that it will be cool enough by then for me to go out and about with her.

I can't wait.

Thursday 6 August 2009

I'm a Big Girl!

Mum and Dad had to go next door this morning to repair Annie's shutter cord. Dad mends and Mum holds things and passes the screws. I know this because I watched them do ours.

I did think that they might take me with them as I quite like Annie's dog, Sammy. No chance but they didn't shut me into the bedroom and I had full run of the house for the first time ever! No damage, no plaster scratching and I had a good girl biscuit. Mum says that I'm a big girl now!!!

Tuesday 21 July 2009

Parents!

They never seem to get it right do they? I've gone from looking like a woolly monkey to a skinned rabbit all in one go. The mirrors are all too high in our house but I've caught my reflection in the shop windows and it doesn't look good.

Oh well, at least I got out and about this afternoon even though the hen party wasn't much of a success. Little yappy dogs that giggle. Not my scene.

Dad said to stop moaning and get on with it. A good one coming from him!!

Saturday 18 July 2009

A Bad Time

I seem to have this girlie thing a couple of times a year. It's horrid and I don't like it but Mum explained that it's something to do with puppies. As I'm not planning to have any I can't understand why I have to suffer. Oh well, a woman's world I suppose.

Mum had to ring Candice today just in case it was a problem when I go for my cut and blow dry on Tuesday. It seems that we are having a hen party........way to go!!

Wednesday 15 July 2009

Lunch

I'm not really asleep in my food bowl as I normally lie down to eat. It must be a lazy trait inherited from Mum!
You may have noticed that I'm looking like a woolly monkey again so it's off for pampering next Tuesday. Candice is coming to collect me and I can't wait!

Tuesday 14 July 2009

Such Fun

It's so hot at the moment and the only way to get a bit of a breeze is to leave both the patio door and the front door open. I'm having such a good time as I can sneak out when no-one is looking and visit all the folk who are doing the same thing. They don't seem to mind and I get the odd tit-bit.

Talking of tit-bits, I was out with Mum yesterday when I came across a couple of builders having their snack. They loved me and I got ham! During the same walk a strange man came really close to her and I barked and barked. Mum thought it was out of character for me but I have to look after her if Dad isn't around.

Tuesday 7 July 2009

I'm Two Tomorrow!

Auntie Maz gave me a bag of teddies for my birthday and I was allowed to choose one tonight. I thought that a 'birthday bunny' would be fun and picked this one.
Thanks Auntie Maz xx

An Evening Out

Mum and Dad don't normally go out of an evening but as it was Terry and Helen's 'leaving do' they decided to show their faces and take me with them. It was still pretty hot but I sheltered under a table and waited for some snacks to come my way. I didn't have long to wait as little Sarah wasn't too good at holding on to her rusks!

I haven't had much company lately since the vet grounded me a couple of weeks ago and I've never been to a proper party so it was pretty brilliant. Uncle Mick tried to sneak a chicken leg for me but eagle eyed Mum spotted him and I never got it. Apart from that little disappointment it was good fun. Hayley ran me around for a while and all the other children came over for a cuddle. Half an hour off my lead too. All in all, parties are good............who will be leaving next?

Thursday 25 June 2009

Gone Again

I know what suitcases are now and as soon as I saw Auntie Shona packing hers I knew that she was going to leave me again.

We had fun. Walks, cuddles and playtimes. She brought a knotted rope thingy and a squeaky toy for me and although I love the rope the squeaky is scary. They all thought it was well funny when I ran under the sofa every time anyone touched it. One toy that will never get ruined!

Love her to bits and I hope she comes back soon xxx

Monday 22 June 2009

Frightening

As it was well hot on Friday Mum, Dad and Auntie Shona decided to leave me home whilst they went out for an all-day breakfast.

I don't know what happened but I felt really funny and my legs wouldn't work properly. I couldn't get as far as my water bowl. By the time they came home I was shaking and couldn't walk. Dad and Auntie Shona took turns to carry me to the vets. Not easy as I weigh more than ten kilos.

Being an 'emergency' I went straight in and was still staggering once they put me down onto the floor. (I did manage to crawl as far as the biscuit cupboard though!) The vet wasn't quite sure what my problem was and decided to take a blood sample............flippin' needles and I had to have my leg shaved!

Dad took me back to the vet's again on Saturday morning for the results. Nothing conclusive. My heart is alright and so are my other organs but she can't rule out epilepsy. If it happens again I have to go straight back and then I'll get treatment. In the meantime, I'm not allowed out in the afternoon.

Mum is worrying and I'm frightened.

Sunday 14 June 2009

Time

I don't really understand days, months and years as it all seems the same to me. Walks, play, food and sleep happen just when I want them to.

Something is afoot though and I'm sure that it's almost time for Auntie Shona to turn up. Mum is giving Dad grief about the amount of books that are cluttering up the spare room yet again. I'm in the clear as all my things are in my toy box! He isn't a bit bothered as he's working all week.............not his problem!

Tuesday 9 June 2009

Boring

Dad is working and I really hate it. I'm crossing my legs at the door before Mum gets around to taking me out and then she never lets me off the lead. She reckons that I wouldn't come back but how can she know if she doesn't try it?

Sorry Mum, I know you can be well funny at times and I did promise not to breathe a word, but, I can't resist telling my mates about you crawling under the window shutter this evening! I could see your bum!!

Thursday 28 May 2009

Footie

Dad and I went off to watch the Man U v Barca game at Bar Rincon last night. He says he likes the atmosphere, whatever that is! I just like going out.

Actually, it was all a little confusing as the Spanish Real Madrid supporters were cheering for Man U! At least we didn't have to slink out when we lost!

Wednesday 20 May 2009

Cameras

I hate them. Every time I settle down these days Mum thinks that I look cute and takes a photo. Mind you, on reflection, she could be right this time.

Wrecked!

I've been on a really long walk this afternoon with Mum and Dad and as you can see I've had a good sleep. Mum took this earlier when I was sound and I didn't even notice. They will have so much trouble with me later!

Wednesday 6 May 2009

A Night Out With Dad

He decided that he would like to watch the Chelsea v Barcelona match down at Rincon and took me with him. I felt a little guilty about leaving my Mum but she was so engrossed in Corrie that I'm not sure if she saw us leave.

It was great fun. Lots of cheering and shouting and even my brother Cody was there for a little doggy company.

For a girlie, I quite like footie. Dad told a porkie though as he said to Mum that he'd only had two beers and I'm sure he had three!

Monday 27 April 2009

Eventually!

After a couple of false starts Mum managed to make an appointment for Friday. I'm off to have my cut and blow dry and Candice is coming to collect me at twelve o'clock. I'm so excited!

Saturday 25 April 2009

I Wasn't Sure

Mum and Sue went off to clean a holiday apartment the other day and came back with a couple of treats for me. They both knew that the balls wouldn't last long but Mum was well impressed that I'd ruined the little one so tidily.
As for the red and white one, I hated it but it was fun watching the oldies kick it around our house whilst I peeped from under the sofa. I got braver by the minute and pinched it...........it's dead now!

Friday 24 April 2009

A Nice Man

We went for our normal walk this morning and I was off my lead trotting along by the sea wall when I spotted two workers who had stopped for a snack. One of them gave me a tit-bit so I settled down between them. I'd completely forgotten about my Dad!

Lead on and he had to drag me away. Spoil sport.........I wonder if they will be there tomorrow?

Tuesday 21 April 2009

My Favourite Place

I love it under the sofa as it's nice and cool and I can hide my toys under here. That's the way I like it.

Auntie Maz gave me a pressie today. A voucher for fifteen Euros towards a cut and blow dry which she won in a raffle. Deefor (I think I spelt it right this time) doesn't need such luxuries so I got it. She loves me! My appointment is for one pm on Thursday, subject to confirmation. I can't wait, four hours of pampering away from the parents. Bring it on!

Mum had to crawl around the floor to take this pic and you should have seen her trying to get up again. Oldies, who'd hav' em?

Thursday 9 April 2009

My First Dinner Party.

Tina and Neil invited Mum and Dad to their house this evening for roast beef and all the trimmings. I was asked too but Mum kept insisting that I would make a mess. I could have bitten her! Tina got her way in the end so off we all went.

I really behaved and lay by Mum's feet whilst they ate and then sneaked into the kitchen for loads of tit-bits. I so love roast beef and Tina.

Young Hayley was there too so we played 'chase' and then cuddled on her bed to watch a film. I heard Dad joking that I wouldn't want to go home and he wasn't far wrong. Dinner parties are ace!

Thursday 2 April 2009

At Home With My Dad

Mum went off with Sue this morning and I had a day with Dad. She does go on a little so it was really nice to have some peace (I've hidden my password so she won't read this!).

We had a really long walk after she had gone and met up with Carol and her standard poodle, Colonel. It seems that his housemate, Captain, is really poorly and as he is sixteen years old it's looking a bit dodgy for him. Poor chap, he's really nice for an oldie.

We had a lovely afternoon. Dad played Mahjong on the computer whilst I sat on my chair outside and dozed in the sun.

I was sort of missing my Mum and there she was! Lots of cuddles too. Nice to see her go but so lovely to see her come home.

Saturday 28 March 2009

Auntie Shona

Mum was talking to her for ages tonight and it seems that she is coming to see us in June for a week. She's staying with us this time so it will be fun for me. Lots of treats if the meanies don't see!

I'm better now but it was a bit cruel not to feed me for so long. I really, really wish that I could reach the worktop as Dad had left some fudge there and I was starving!

Wednesday 25 March 2009

I'm Sick Again!!

Dad is taking me to the clinic tomorrow because I've had five 'accidents' today. Really nasty ones too. I tried eating my dinner but I've just thrown up.

I would love to be a normal healthy dog but Mum says that it's because my tummy was badly damaged when I had Parvo. She also says that I shouldn't scavenge so much and that I'm stinky!

I do hope that I don't have to suffer injections and I'll update tomorrow. Night night xxx

Wednesday 18 March 2009

A New Friend

I don't know his name but Mum and Dad call him 'the reluctant boxer' because he doesn't seem to like walking and his Dad has to drag him everywhere. He perks up a little when he sees me though and pounces on me. It was good fun a few weeks ago but he's getting huge now and it's a little scary when he catches me unawares. Very handsome!! I'm blushing now!

I've found that there are advantages to being a bad girl. The oldies never leave me alone these days and I get to go out with them everytime they go out together. I know Mum has sussed me out but she's going along with it. I've seen loads of folk this week. Uncle Vic, Caron, Dave and Charlotte, Tina and Neil, Joan and Kevin and even my brother, Cody, and his mates.

Life is pretty cool!

Friday 13 March 2009

I'm Not Stupid!

Dad was watching a film and Mum was washing the pots. She said that she would sit outside with me for half an hour when she'd finished so I went and sat by the door. They were so amazed that I'd understood that. What are they like?

To be honest, it was a cunning plan on my part as I waited until she got comfy and then pinched her computer!

Thursday 5 March 2009

Shush

The oldies are watching TV and I've managed to sneak out to do my blog. They aren't speaking to me because of my plaster thingy and I'm so lonely. Best I go back into hiding.

Sunday 1 March 2009

I'm In The Dog House

I've been out and about with Mum and Dad all week but for some reason they left me home today. I did catch some mutterings about Liz and Lindsay and football and felt really put out as I would have loved to have joined in.

I was bored and decided that it would be good to scratch at the walls. Lots of nice white plaster all over the floor. Mum was fuming when she came home and the only place to go was under the sofa. It seems that they were planning a walk to Alcala on Tuesday but I've been told that I'm grounded.

Maybe, if I'm really good they might forgive me before then.

Thursday 26 February 2009

Olives

The oldies decided that I needed a bath today and a good brushing to sort my scary hair out. I am so stupid sometimes and followed them into the bathroom without a worry in the world. Two minutes later and I'm wet. I so hate it and the brush afterwards. Dad cut my fringe and I sat in the sun for a little while to dry and get warm. Mum kept me company and read her book.

It was worth it though as I'm well shiny and we all went off to meet up with Liz and Lindsay. I haven't met them before but they are really nice. Lindsay fed me olives under the table. Scrummy and I'll love him forever!

Tuesday 24 February 2009

A Bad Hair Day!

Mum was so amused about the state of my hair today that she let me go onto the bed for a pic.
I really need to go to that nice lady again for a cut and blow dry. No wonder I look so cross.

Friday 13 February 2009

I've Been Sick..........

Twice! I feel OK and I've been eating my dinner but I was sick!

Tuesday 3 February 2009

A New Trick

I know that I always have a full dish of food to eat but the stuff in the bin is so much more interesting. I lie in wait until the oldies are fast asleep and then raid it. Potato peelings are ace!

Mum has been putting it out of reach at night but Dad says that I have to learn not to go into it. Is he so dumb to think that 'Bad dog, no bin' is going to work?

Saturday 31 January 2009

Wonderful!

My Mum has a really big bag of Maltesers in the cupboard and if I'm really, really quiet I get one as a treat.
Dad has mini Bounty Bars but he won't share!

Thursday 29 January 2009

Poison

Dad and I met John and Sally when we were out walking yesterday morning. I joined in with Sally whilst John and Dad had a natter.

It seems that someone is spreading poison around our side of the village and one dog has died. I can't remember as I was really young then but Mum said that we saw a dog in the clinic who had been poisoned and it was awful.

The outcome is that I'm back on the lead again and can't go scrummaging through the rough ground anymore. Oh, well, better safe than sorry.

Sunday 25 January 2009

Where Did They Go?

I used to like sitting on my chair on the balcony watching the comings and goings of the people who lived opposite but they have all gone! Mum says that the signs say that they are all up for rent. I haven't mastered the Spanish language yet!

That means that new people might turn up soon which will be good but Mum thinks it was better with the devil we knew. Probably something which her Nana used to say!

Friday 23 January 2009

My Week

I always go out with Dad in the morning and then just before the news comes on in the evening but as it's cool at the moment I've been for a walk in the afternoon a couple of times this week, with both Mum and Dad.

It's been brilliant as I've had a bit of a catch up with my brother Cody. He's looking well smart because he's had a bit of a trim since I saw him last. Mum took her camera but we don't stay still long enough for a pic! Maybe next time.

I also saw Uncle Vic and Mum's friends, Pip and Ros, who brought her home from bowling on Monday. So nice to get out and about.

Friday 16 January 2009

Smelly...........Me?

It isn't me that keeps making the house smell as I'm a lady. I reckon that Dad has something to do with it so I'm blaming him.

As for Mum's nose, well you can't really miss it can you? Full credit to her for blaming Dad............us girls stick together!

Saturday 10 January 2009

No Biscuits

I always get three biscuits when they go out without me but they forgot to buy some this week.
Trying to fob me off with half of a banana does not work and I'm really unhappy. Horrid things bananas!
I'm going off to bed in a huff!!

Monday 5 January 2009

Yippeeeee

It appears that all is back to normal and I can go and run to my heart's content from tomorrow. My mates will be pleased to see me off the lead at long last.

There is a down side though. Dad says that I need a good bath. You can't get something for nothing in this world can you?
