Such a Baby

I just want loads of cuddles at the moment and it's really nice lying here on Dad's belly whilst he's watching television.

I suspect that he'll chuck me off shortly so I'd best make the most of it.

I Don't Like It

Mum says that I have women's problems and have to be kept on the lead at all times for the next two weeks or so. I really thought that Dad would ignore her and let me play as usual but it seems that they are together with this one.

Two weeks sounds an awful long time to me and I don't think I like being a grown-up.

Clinic Day

Mum checked my passport the other day as she had a feeling that I should be going for my booster injections sometime soon. It just said 'December' so we went along to the Clinic today to check it out. Clever her as she had the date spot on!

All in all it wasn't too bad. I wasn't too keen on the temperature thingy but I tried to keep cool. Just one little whimper! I heard the vet telling Mum that it was perfect and went to jump down thinking all was done. No chance and glancing sideways I saw the needles. Two of them! Thankfully, it was done and dusted within seconds and she let me go. She did have a chuckle when I went to sit next to the biscuit cupboard and she couldn't avoid giving me a treat.

Mum was impressed too as she expected having to pay out loads of money but forty five Euros wasn't as bad as she thought.

My New Image

I've spent ages doing this tonight as I really fancied a change. I quite like spots!

Mum had this photo hidden away and as it was the first ever sitting on her lap when I was just three weeks old, I decided to include it. Pretty cool I reckon.

We have been chatting about our friend Joe tonight. I haven't seen him for ages and as Christmas is looming it's time he showed his face. Happen Uncle John will send us a pic soon.

A Duck Moved In

Mum decided that she would go food shopping today because she wanted a duck for Xmas lunch. I thought it would fly around like the pigeons in the Church Square but it looked like a big icy lump. Not a bit interesting but I expect they know what they are doing!

Can You Trust Humans?

I've been asking and asking to do my blog for ages but Mum just says that it can't be done. I have loads of things to say too. Anyway, I've just managed to log on so she lied!
My Dad had one of those Birthday thingies last week. He was sixty which seems really old to me but Auntie Shona didn't seem to care too much and turned up as a surprise. There she is with neice Michelle and her boyfriend, Eddie. Dad's brother, Alan and his wife Karen turned up too. I was a bit miffed that I had to be taken home early and missed most of the party but happen it was just as well because Dad didn't look very well when he staggered home! Who is Celtic?

Mum has a photo of all of his presents and says that she will blog it soon.

Burglars

Mum and I often sit out on the balcony late at night just to watch the world go by. Nothing much really happens but it's nice and peaceful and I like it.

Something strange happened earlier though. I saw a man on the wall opposite and barked and barked. Mum reckoned he was on his way in and not out as he jumped down and ran off. She says that I'm a hero! Clever me.

We've locked up and closed the shutters so we are well safe. Dad isn't well and Mum still has the sniffles so we are off to bed. Night night xx

Sunday 2 November 2008

I really missed my Mum last week and searched and searched for her around our house. Dad did explain that she would come home at some point but I didn't really believe him. She turned up in the middle of the night and brought me loads of presents. I would have had more but my cousin, Shadow, pinched one and wouldn't give it back.

Poor Mum isn't very well now because she caught a cold so we are off to bed to have a snuggle. I'm so happy!

Thursday 9 October 2008

Wet

The oldies seem to have some sort of water fixation this week. Just because I didn't fancy the sea the other day they went and threw me in the bath this morning!

Smelly shampoo and a good brushing............my street cred is in tatters and to top it all, my ASBO has run out!

I know I'm a gun dog and should be specialising in collecting water fowl but I really hate being wet. I heard Mum and young Gareth earlier, discussing putting some gel on my fringe..............absolutely no way!

Tuesday 7 October 2008

It's Cool!

I've had such a busy day. Dad took me as far as the sea this morning but I still don't like it. There was a pool thingy with some wriggly things in that looked quite interesting but I didn't dare put my feet in. Mum says that I'm a real mardy.

Now that the weather has changed a little I'm allowed out at tea-time to share Mum and Dad's walk about. We went to the Church Square and I ran around with Charlotte and little Lottie. I was also introduced to a lady who looked after me when I was first born. I don't remember her because I was a tiny baby but I did overhear that no-one seems to know where my birth parents are. I do hope that Oscar and Libby are as happy as I am.

I'm well wrecked now and had to be wakened up for my ten o'clock walk. Back to bed for me.............night night x

Wednesday 1 October 2008

Cockies

Mum said that Auntie Shona emailed yesterday to ask why I hadn't been blogging of late. It isn't my fault as they hog the computer all day and I can't get a look in!

Dad took me for my usual walk tonight. We always go just before the ten o'clock news and I wait patiently by the door until my lead turns up. Someone had left a drain cover up and loads of cockies were running about. I chased a couple and pawed them but I drew the line at catching them in my mouth. Horrid nasty things which are almost as bad as cats!

Mum went off to see Sue today. She hasn't been too well and Mum is popping in to keep her company. I cried because I want her to myself. Dad says that she's leaving me for a whole week soon to go to England on a plane. What will I do without her...............please stay home, Mum.

Friday 12 September 2008

Naughty Dog

I know they never leave me for long and I struggle with the hot pavements but I get so bored on my own. I've been trying to get out this week by scratching the walls and although I tried to look innocent, a pile of white plaster gave me away. No 'Good Girl' biscuits for me.

At least I managed to stop Mum taking a photo. How embarrassing would that be?

Tuesday 26 August 2008

Grub

The oldies are having a bit of a row about my feeding habits. I've always had dried food which is in my dish all day long but Mum decided to treat me to some tinned dog food the other week. I only get a little bit for my supper but it has been enough to put me off the other stuff.

Dad says that I'm losing weight and it has to stop. There is only one loser around here!

Saturday 16 August 2008

Annoying!

I have an infection in my ears and they need cleaning out and drops shoved in twice a day. I´m really enjoying leading Mum a merry dance and it´s so funny watching her trying to drag me out from under the sofa. Who wouldn´t hide away when they know they are about to be tortured?

We went off to the clinic this morning for my check up and it was my favourite vet................the young, pretty one who calls me ´chicatita´. We had a bit of rough and tumble on the floor and then she had a look into my ears. It seems that Mum hasn´t been doing it right and they are still in a bit of a pickle (hee hee!). She was really miffed when I sat still and let the vet sort them out!

Stupidly, I forgot that it would be Mum´s turn tonight. She isn´t as daft as she looks though and promised me a couple of biscuits if I was good. How could I resist?

Wednesday 6 August 2008

I´m Beautiful

Dad took a photo whilst I was telling Mum all about my visit to the hairdressers.

It was a little scary being driven off by a strange lady and I had a bit of a panic having to leave my Mum. To be honest I really enjoyed my cut and blow dry and all the pampering which went along with it.

I overheard Candice telling Dad how good I was..........no muzzle and no harness. Four hours away from home isn´t bad at all. Roll on the next time!

Thursday 31 July 2008

Shampoo and Set

Mum says that I´m going to meet a nice lady called Candice on Tuesday afternoon who is going to give my hair a trim.

I haven´t a clue what she is going on about but I expect I will find out.

Tuesday 8 July 2008

Birthday Girl!

A pink frisbee and a dolly from Mum and Uncle Vic gave me a tennis ball. Not that anything lasted very long though. I´ve chewed through the ball and dolly has lost her head!

It was far too hot for me to go out this afternoon. People tend to forget how scorching the pavements can be to bare paws. I have to wait until evening for my run around. Roll on Winter!

Tuesday 1 July 2008

Seven More Sleeps............

Until my Birthday! I´d love a party at the park with balloons and some new toys. A Frisbee would be good and a new football as I´ve chewed mine to bits. More biscuits and a tennis ball too. (I´ve been watching Wimbledon!)

I´m pondering over my guest list. Mum and Dad, of course, Charlotte and Lottie with their parents and maybe my brother Cody as it´s his birthday too.

Far too exciting and I can´t wait!

Thursday 19 June 2008

Where Did She Go?

It´s been brilliant having Auntie Shona here this week. We´ve been for walks and played together but best of all is that she gave me lots of treats. I don´t get them normally!

She took me out this morning and then went off with Mum. No sign of her since and I miss her sooooooo much.

Sunday 1 June 2008

A Visitor

Auntie Shona is coming to stay next week. I´ve only met her once and as I was just a baby then I don´t remember much about her. It´s exciting though.
It appears that she likes to sit out on the balcony to do her puzzles.............she won´t be getting my chair!

Tuesday 27 May 2008

Trauma

What an awful experience. Mum and I went out to meet Dad from work this afternoon and ended up being attacked by two dogs.

We noticed them sitting outside the Internet shop but didn´t think much about it until they charged at us. They were tied together............one at each end of a length of rope. I was a real wimp and howled whilst they were biting me. Mum tried to pick me up but the rope was wrapped around her legs. She did manage to make enough noise to attract the owner who came strolling out of the shop and rounded up the dogs without even apologising. Wow, did Mum go! I heard as far as ´stupid cow´ before I closed my ears.

It took a little while for us to settle but we are ok now. I´ve never come across nasty dogs before and might be a bit more wary next time.

Wednesday 14 May 2008

Not My Fault.............Honest!

What is PMT? Mum says that I have it and keeps muttering about sending me to K9. That´s a place where dogs live if they haven´t a Mum and Dad. She doesn´t mean it really because she gave me a big cuddle earlier and said that she loved me to bits!

How can she blame me for ripping her book apart? She was the one who left it on the bed!

Friday 2 May 2008

Mum´s Birthday

I´m not totally sure what it means but it seems that I get one in July. Dad was working so I took her to Bar San Juan for a couple of hours this afternoon. So many people turned up.......Dave, Caron, Charlotte, Maz and Bernard, Joan and Kevin, John, Gavin, Hayley and Lottie............I can´t remember the rest but we had such fun.

Twenty-two messages online and loads on the mobile...........everyone loves my Mum.

I found a friend called Tia. She´s a French Bulldog.........black and white with funny pointy ears. A little immature at five months but we chased around for a while and I pointed out the pros and cons of living with parents. She was well grateful and we´ve arranged to meet again soon.

Thursday 17 April 2008

I Was Bored

Mum was using the computer and Dad was playing Playstation. No-one wanted to play with me and so I went off to amuse myself.
They never even noticed when I chewed Mum´s pillow to bits. Great fun and what a mess!
A smacked nose and I´ve been sent to bed.

Friday 4 April 2008

Cool!

I´ve really missed my computer time and it´s been really painful listening to Mum´s moans during the last few weeks.

Would you believe that I´m almost nine months old? I weigh in at just under ten kilos and my behaviour has improved drastically. No accidents in the apartment, I do sit and stay, shake a paw and lie down. I admit that pulling on the lead is still one of my favourite pastimes but I do try!

Mum says that as soon as she finds the USB port she´ll upload a pic or two!

Friday 22 February 2008

Nasty People

Dad took me to see the vet today because I've had diarrhoea for a couple of days. I've been feeling fine but you know how those oldies worry. They panic every time I sneeze!

The vet explained that my tummy is still weak after my illness last year. She gave me some special food and some medicine and told Dad to get a muzzle for me.

That sounded well exciting and I couldn't wait until Dad came back from the pet shop. Not a treat after all but some form of medieval punishment. What do I look like!

I can't pick up anything, people think that I bite and I'm so unhappy. No food until tomorrow either. I'm going to bed and if Mum thinks that she will get a photo of me wearing it she has another think coming!

Tuesday 19 February 2008

Hyperactive

Another label which has been stuck on me. I'm sad and grumpy tonight as everyone has a bit of a down on me. Even Mum smacked me today and that is so rare.

It all started so well. Dad took me down to the football ground and I chased Topsie's red ball for ages. Then we all went out for another walk which was a cunning plan to tire me out for the day. The oldies had dinner later and took me down to the church square for an hour or so. Stupidly, they expected me to have a nap but I wanted to join in with the children and play footie. Then I spotted some chewing gum which is my favourite sneaky snack. Another smack!

I did have a wuff or two with brother Cody earlier. He commiserates but couldn't come home and help. Dad says that I need an ASBO.

Tuesday 12 February 2008

Waiting

Remember my brother Marco? His mum was online yesterday and promised to send me a photo which was taken the day that I was born. We've all been waiting and waiting but it hasn't turned up yet.

So annoying..............I want to see what I looked like and my Mum does too!

Monday 4 February 2008

Cats!

Nasty horrid spitty things. To be honest I've never really come across one before today. I have seen some wandering about in the distance but didn't pay much attention.
I was walking home with Mum and Dad earlier when I noticed something crawling from under a car. Being a nosy tike I went for a closer look. It went berserk and started hissing and spitting at me. So scary!
Things to be avoided.........CATS!!

Wednesday 30 January 2008

Oops!

Mum said that we had to go for an early walk today as she had promised Dad that she would do a roast dinner this evening. All went well until she saw Auntie Pam and Uncle John sitting outside Penny's Bar. She didn't take much persuading to have a beer with them!

Actually, it was really nice because I met a lovely little girl and her mum took me to the park with them. She dropped loads of Quavers onto the floor too!

We were going to go home then but Mum spotted Auntie Caron and Charlotte at Antonio's bar.......another flippin' beer! THEN...................Dad turned up. No dinner and we are both grounded tomorrow!

Thursday 24 January 2008

Grounded!

I've been naughty again. Mum let me off the lead this morning so that I could have a run around the park. I was having such fun that I wouldn't go back to her when she called me. It seems that this is classed as bad behaviour and I could have been run over. I sense a new list coming on!

She wouldn't take me with her when she went to meet Dad earlier. I really hate being left at home so I behaved. Nothing ripped or broken and happen I might be allowed out tomorrow. Please Mum xx

Friday 18 January 2008

Heartworm

Mum took me to see the vet today as I had to be weighed again. Eight kilos! I must have big bones.

Now that I'm older, Dad thought he should explain why I need to have a monthly dose of anti-heart worm fluid placed on the back of my neck. It seems that mosquitoes can bring these worms and they attack the heart. There's no way back as the picture shows. It makes me shudder just to think of it.

He said that he'd leave the 'birds and bees' lecture to Mum..............I wonder where they go!

Sunday 13 January 2008

Hee Hee

Well, they do insist on leaving me on Sunday afternoon so what do they expect? I get really, really bored and have to pass the time on somehow.

I thought that I'd have a go at a magazine which I'd spotted on the dressing table. Wonderful fun. Dad said that it looked like a ticker tape parade had passed by and Mum couldn't work out how I had managed to get it. My secret!

Why did they come home early? They wouldn't have missed bowling and gone somewhere else without me, would they?

Wednesday 9 January 2008

Me and My Mum

She says that she is too old and wrinkly to have her photo on my blog but I love her and I think she is beautiful.
Love ya Mum xxx

Saturday 5 January 2008

No Shoes

Mum was telling me that the Three Kings come around tonight and leave presents for good children. They have to put their shoes outside the door so that the Kings know where they live.

Santa brought me a football but I'm a bit stumped with this one. I did think of sneaking Mum's slippers onto the balcony but what would I do with a bottle of brandy?

Friday 4 January 2008

Smelly Bone

Mum treated me to a bone from the pet shop this evening. I've loved it but she's really moaning that it smells so much. I thought she would be happy that it kept me quiet for so long. No pleasing some folk.

My six month deadline will be up soon and I've mastered most of the dreaded list. Who would have believed it? Wicked puppy turns good!

Get this...................Mum told me to sit and stay this evening. I can do that but looking at a biscuit six feet away was a little hard. I never moved until told. She was so amazed that we did it again. Two biscuits for me and hopefully, we will play that game tomorrow!
